“You can’t live with them and you can’t live without them.” That old expression has been applied to lots of things, and it also applies to relationships. Nothing takes more work than keeping relationships healthy—and nothing keeps us more emotionally healthy than good relationships. Sometimes it’s a challenge to live with them, but we certainly can’t live without them. The apostle Paul says we ought to love others the way God loves us. It stands to reason that if my relationship with God is good because of how He loves me, my relationships with others will be good if I love them the same way. When we study the ways in which God relates to people, we discover keys to healthy relationships. Today, adopt His selflessness and love. In the process, you will be a blessing to others, and you will create healthier, happier relationships with the people you care about.
